The Mini Post frameless glass balustrade system can be used in a variety of ways.
Being extremely versatile, this mini-post system is ideal for glass balconies, patio areas,
terraces and can be an effective safety handrail system. There are a number of options when
choosing the mini-post balustrade system including base, core, edge, or side mounted
designs. The sleek bottom mini stainless steel posts are designed to accommodate glass
thicknesses from 10mm to 17.5mm. To achieve a more bespoke design, we have a choice of
glass coloured tints available to act as a privacy screen.
We also provide a number of railing options making this a truly customisable solutions with
lots of glass and railing balustrade variations. All design considerations depend on your
requirements matching your needs with building safety and regulations considered.
Stylish & Economical Solution
A stylish yet economical alternative to the channel design, the Mini-Post offers excellent value
for a frameless glass balustrade without compromising on quality or safety.
Instead of an aluminium channel, two glass brackets hold each panel in place. These are
manufactured from Marine Grade 2205 Duplex stainless steel which offers superior corrosion
resistance in coastal locations, or in areas with high chloride, humidity and pollution levels.

A versatile design and the most popular and cost effective solution for frameless glazed
balustrade applications. Top mounted for easy install on most platforms and balconies.
The most popular and versatile member of the Mini Post Family. The top mount fixing method
allows installations into various fabric of platforms. The 18 Series models accept
glass thickness from 12mm to 17.5mm Laminated Glass, with interchangeable gaskets to
allow for changes in glass thickness. Models for glass thicknesses between 19mm to 21.5mm
are available on request, just request our 21 Series Mini Post. Choose between Square base
or Oval base designs.
This design is tested to surpass the requirements for UDL loadings meeting domestic
requirements of line loads of 0.74kN. Ideal for use on domestic projects and areas of low
pedestrian traffic. The high strength comes from the use of 2205 Duplex stainless steel. This
makes the component very strong and highly resistant to corrosion even in extreme marine
environments.
The Tilt-Lock design is an ingenious way making the install of the system as simple as
possible. With a simple twist of an allen key on the body of the post, the glass self-levels and
this easy adjustment saves a lot of time and hassle during installations.

TOP Mounted Easy Install Mini Post Balustrade Fittings - Two Base Styles
Available in two base styles and two polished finishes, to meet the requirements of your
install and application.
The Square Base design is ideal for use on decking. The four fitting points are located that
they the Mini Post can be easily secured into decking timbers under the boards, without the
additional need to add fixing noggins in place.
The Oval Base design only requires two fixings per post. The fixing points are further apart as
compared to the square base, but this adds additional stability to the post. Use on patio fixes,
concrete bases and roofing systems.

A great solution for side mounting a Mini Post Frameless Mini Post on the edge of a
platform on on a parapet wall.
This design allows for a fast and easy install by pre-installing your fixing studs into your wall or
steelwork. The Side Mount design comes with the its own specialist fixing bolts and fixing
adaptor to allow for an easy install. A popular choice to achieve the most stylish frameless look
and it is ideal solution for use with curved glass.
The two series on the Side Mount Mini Post allow for two ranges of glass thicknesses. The
18 Series accepts glass from 12-17.5mm and the Series 21 accepts glass from 19-21.5mm
glass.
This design is tested to surpass the requirements for UDL loadings meeting domestic

FACE FIXED - SIDE MOUNT DESIGN
SIDE Mounted Infinity View Mini Post Balustrade Fittings
Designed to face mount on the side of a platform or parapet, easy to install and is an
ideal fitting to use with curved glass balustrade, parapets and under sills.
The innovative design allows you to off-stand the glass 40mm from the platform edge,
enabling drainage, while maintaining a beautiful infinity balustrade with uninterrupted views.
This system works by preinstalling the fixing studs / threaded bar into the edge of the platform
or under an opening to create an infinity look.
In the event you're looking to use curved 17.5mm laminated, we would recommended using
the 21 series of the Mini Post to allow more tolerance. For straight flat panels, we recommend
12-17.5mm glass with the 18 series.

A design we created to provide an ideal frameless fixing solution for decking platforms
to enable a secure strong fix to the side of the deck platform.
This product was created with decking systems in mind. We needed a solution that would
work with our innovative decking solutions where a side fix was essential. This adaptation of a
top mount solution, which sits on the deck edge like a Base Mount Mini Post, but has the
advantage to have its fixing points located on the edge of the component.
This very strong design accepts glass thickness from 12mm to 17.5mm Laminated Glass, with

EGDE MOUNTED IDEAL FOR DECKING
EDGE Mounted Mini Post Balustrade Fittings - Designed for decks in mind
Designed to fit on the edge of a deck, a design specifically created for decking
platforms.
The Mini Post rests on the platform base but has an extended leg that secures the component
to the platform face. This is a unique design made specifically to use with our decking
systems to create a strong secure fix through the deck facia through to the decking joists.
Very easy to install, no special tools are needed and is ideal to use in conjunction with a DIY
decking projects.

GLASS- CHOOSE YOUR BEST OPTIONS
Glass thicknesses and sizes are normally dictated by the balustrade design. Our team at
Elite Balustrade Systems will recommend the best specification of glass to meet your
needs as well as meeting building control requirements.
The style of glass can add and change the look and feel of a balustrade design, but what
options do you have.
GLASS THICKNESS: The thickness depends on your application and if you're using a handrail
or not. If your looking for a handrail free design a laminated toughened glass is needed. If
using a handrail on the design the glass only needs the use of toughened glass.
Glass thickness the glazing channel designs can accept are: 12mm Toughened, 13.5
Laminated, 15mm Toughened, 17.5mm Laminated, 19mm Toughened and 21.5mm laminated.
For domestic use we recommend 15mm glass with a handrail or 17.5mm glass without a
handrail. Thicker use of glass will be your personal choice.
GLASS COLOUR / OPAQUE: Some glass products can be tinted but these are not always
available for all thicknesses. Coloured laminated glass is a usual requirement when used with
our glazing channel solutions. Popular tint colours include: Bronze, Grey, Green and Blue.
If using glass with LED lights such as in the handrail or channel, please request Optiwhite (low
iron) glass. LED lighting shows imperfections in the glass normally invisible in normal daylight.
Using low iron Optiwhite enables the higher optical qualities of the glass to look fantastic when
lit with artificial light within the body off the glass.
If you're looking for privacy, translucent or opaque glass may be your answer. The glass can be
given a frosted look which allows light to pass through but offering privacy. This can be
achieved by applying a white painted finish to one side of the glass (total obscurity), be
sandblasted or chemically etched to defuse the light and provide privacy. Speak to our sales
