What steps make up an annual partnership lifecycle and four-point outreach strategy?
Step 1: Rami Hanna will reach out to get to know your district as relates to your communication
outreach strategies to employees. He is also a collaborative partner in brainstorming new
creative outreach initiatives, when applicable.
Step 2: Proactively plan four outreach activities. Rami will support your district needs to make
these activities fun, valuable, and most importantly, effective for the target audience in mind.
Step 3: Aside from supporting activity implementation efforts, Rami will occasionally be in
touch to communicate any relevant partnership updates (i.e. program updates, partner benefit
updates, special event invites, etc.)
Step 4: Rami and his team will schedule an annual partnership review meeting. The purpose of
this meeting will be to review the activities and outcomes of our shared partnership; while,
learning, listening, and planning for the upcoming year’s annual four-point engagement
strategy. Our goal is to nurture and respectfully evolve our partnership.
What are some examples of outreach activities?
• Email Campaign
• Targeting National Day Recognitions to celebrate and create reasons to engage
• Information booth hosted by Rami (i.e. Orientations, benefit fairs, workshops, etc.)
• Presentation by Rami (in-person/Virtual)
• Please review the “Can you Imagine” flyer for more ideas.

LANDING PAGE
Partner: Lemon Grove School District
Link: LGSD Landing Page
Publish Date: March 2020
National University is pleased to provide you with your very own customized
landing page! Please review the FAQ below to understand its value.
What is a Landing Page?
A landing page is a page housed on an internal site, imbedded in an email, newsletter, or any
electronic marketing communication tool that is designed to communicate employee benefits. It
centralizes partnership information for employees to view and provides an avenue for
prospective adult learners to efficiently request an enrollment advisor to contact them.
How does a prospective adult learner interact on a landing page?
It has a form embedded that allows an employee to fill out and request for more information on
a program or class. This creates a call to action where an enrollment advisor receives the
prospective adult learner’s request and then reaches out to service their inquiry.
What are the benefits of a landing page?
• Supports Shared Partnership Goals and Centralized Benefit Detail
• Enriches Employees Experience Interacting with Education Benefit
• Generates Data and Insights
• Increases Education Partnership Credibility
• Enhances Partnership Benefits Awareness

PRELIMINARY SINGLE SUBJECT
TEACHING CREDENTIAL (CA)
The Bachelor of Arts in English with Single Subject
Matter Preparation and Inspired Teaching and
Learning Preliminary Single Subject Credential
provides a rigorous education preparing candidates
for a career as a teacher of English at the middle
and secondary school levels.
The program stresses literary analysis,
diversity, critical thinking, and written and oral
communication skills through a rigorous curriculum
of literature, composition, language and linguistics,
and communication studies. Completion of the
English requirements also satisfies the California
Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC)
requirements for subject matter preparation in English;
students who complete the English requirements will
not be required to take the CSET exam.
This program also prepares teacher candidates with
the knowledge, skills, and dispositions required for
entry into California’s teaching profession as an English
teacher. It is designed for teacher candidates who will
be dedicated to inspiring all K-12 learners by ensuring
for them: social emotional thriving, meaningful
academic achievement, and equitable and inclusive
learning communities. The education courses meet
the CTC requirements for a Preliminary Single Subject

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE
IN MATHEMATICS
WITH SINGLE SUBJECT
MATHEMATICS PREPARATION
PROGRAM (NO CREDENTIAL)
The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics
provides a strong foundation in mathematics
and its applications. Designed to help address
our nation’s increasing need for mathematical
scientists, technicians, and especially teachers,
the program emphasizes reflective and conceptual
understanding and technique.
First, it provides the fundamental mathematical
knowledge to formulate and solve problems.
Computer science courses are encouraged, since
the use of computers has been instrumental in the
expansion of these opportunities. Students who
want a basic mathematics degree can culminate
their program with the project courses.

Second, the program trains mathematics teachers who
want to provide quality mathematical instruction to
students in primary or secondary schools. The single
subject teaching concentration was created for this
purpose.
The Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences
is committed to the complete academic development
of its students. Where practical, all mathematics and
science courses are writing-intensive and incorporate
a diversity component. Students are advised that all
mathematics courses encourage critical thinking by
their very nature.
All mathematics courses require that the student
purchase and use a scientific calculator for the
operations of the subject matter. Some courses require
a more advanced graphing calculator and computer
software.

Credential Subject Matter Preparation Information
The Single Subject Mathematics Preparation Program is
approved by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Students who complete the program will not be required to
take the California Subject Examination for Teachers (CSET)
in mathematics in order to receive their teaching credential.
The program emphasizes a strong foundation in
mathematical content together with activities designed to
help future teachers assume leadership roles in an
increasingly complex educational world. Interested
students should complete the following application
process:
• Send a letter to the Department Chair requesting
admission to the program and copies of transcripts to
the Lead Mathematics Faculty for evaluation
• Upon enrollment, submit two essays for the
Mathematics Portfolio (Instructions for the development
and completion of a Mathematics Portfolio are sent
upon receipt of the request letter. The portfolio is
completed for review by the Department Chair or Lead
Faculty two months before the last class.)
• In addition to the major program requirements,
students must complete two classes, MTH 304 and MTH
410. The study of mathematics must encompass the
discipline in its broadest sense. The future
mathematician should develop in an academic
environment that stresses scholarship, diversity, and
growth through a rigorous and focused curriculum of
advanced mathematics that incorporates: problem
solving, mathematics as communication, reasoning, and
mathematical connections. The Bachelor of Science in
Mathematics program is dedicated to providing such
sound preparation and training to a diverse population
of nontraditional learners whose goal is to work
professionally in mathematics or teach Mathematics in
California public schools.
