The 2020 edition of riverrun is a celebration of the creativity of UCCS Students.

This celebration wouldn’t be possible without the effort, advice, and help of many

people. As such we wish to extend our gratitude to all those who made this journal

a reality.

First, we would like to thank the Student Government Association whose funding

make printing the journal possible.

We would like to thank the past editorial classes for the legacy they’ve enabled us

to be a part of.

Thank you to Danielle Buckner from Copy it! She has been extremely patient and

helpful during this difficult time in helping us produce the 47th volume of our

beloved journal.

Thank you to each of the students who submitted works to the journal, without

their creative efforts the journal could not be filled with the wonderful stories and

artworks that line its pages.

Thank you to Jon Bogh, the faculty advisor for SGA, whose advice proved invaluable

for navigating the funding process.

Thank you to each and every member of the editorial class for their time, patience,

and effort. Especially in the face of the unique challenges of producing

riverrun Vol. 47 remotely that came with this semester.

Most of all, thank you to Dr. Kirsten Ortega, whose advice, knowledge and patience

were essential to this journal’s success, and who will surely see the journal

to a bright future.

Together, we weathered a pandemic.
