The world at times seems to toil away<br />
Was it a minute or hour that passed?<br />
Did I brush my teeth? My hair? My cat?<br />
Where has the time gone<br />
I check under the couch<br />
Wave my hand back and forth, hoping to find something solid<br />
T’was for naught<br />
And now my hand is covered in dust<br />
I stand up<br />
Sigh<br />
Wipe my hands on my pants<br />
Turning to leave, I face the window<br />
The dust, casually wiped away, now floats<br />
Suspended in the air<br />
Practically twinkling<br />
Twisting and turning, not bound by gravity<br />
An enchanting moment<br />
Wait. A moment. A pause<br />
I found my time.<br />
Time<br />
So simple yet so precious<br />
Too much of it<br />
Until there is none left<br />
It flies by<br />
In the blink of an eye<br />
Most of us<br />
Not appreciating its value<br />
Until it's too late<br />
