Fragile She Is
The world is fragile. She tips in the wind with the force of a
blow and she crumples beneath the feet of her superiors. Pieces break
off and immerse in the tears and the rage of the forgotten. Hopeless,
she is at the mercy of them. The they that turns the clarity of the sky
into murky isolation and the they that demolishes the beauty in her
once youthful features. It is they who will live on, neglecting, taking
advantage of what she has to give. For they do not know the force of
the wind and the rise of the tide is at her mercy, not theirs. The ruins
she leaves behind only serve as a reminder of her power. Though they
will never be as powerful as she, she trembles at the thought of them.
Those who have forgotten she is delicate, like the flowers, bursting
with color and life, but once a tender and vulnerable bud, always
a bud. Those who have forgotten she is sensitive, sensitive to the
change in rising heat and stupiditty, sensitive to the vast holes of the
apathetic have created. For they have forgotten she is fragile.
