I’ve never known a man who tried to make his wife
submit to him who was himself truly submitted to God.
And, I have never known a woman who was not
submitted to her husband who was herself truly
submitted to God. The only way we can be submitted
to one another in a proper manner is to first be
submitted to God.
Prayer: Lord, I tend to think of my spouse in terns of
what I get from the relationship, and I know that is
wrong. Grant me the grace to look at my spouse
through your love and be more interest ed in pleasing
than in being pleased. In Jesus name. Amen.

Affirmation: Submitting to others is not in my
nature, but when I am submitted first to God then
submitting to others is not difficult at all.
Reflection: Give some thought to what it means to be
submitted to others as we are submitted to God.
