Valid at select dealers in Canada only. <strong>Trail</strong> Seniors enjoy sweet sounds On <strong>June</strong> 4th, 2020 Kootenay Seniors organized a small event for the residents of Kiwanis Villa to mark seniors’ week (<strong>June</strong> 1-8, 2020.) Two young musicians played their guitars and sang beautifully for the residents. Seniors were able to sit on their front porch and enjoy the music at a safe distance. Kootenay Seniors provided masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer to the seniors, and maintained COVID 10 safety protocols. It was a very enjoyable afternoon. The musician’s names were Brooklyn Robertson and Cole Senger. Brooklyn grew up in Campbell River and was taught to sing by her father. She mentioned she has “been singing as long as I can remember, and never took lessons.” Cole grew up in Armstrong and studied Music Composition and Technology at Selkirk College. Kootenay Seniors wanted to provide the seniors some entertainment to lift their spirits. The event was funded by Columbia Basin Trust through the Kootenay Seniors Intergenerational project. The project aims to reduce social isolation of seniors in Nelson and area.
