DEFINITIONS, MISSION/VISION STATEMENTS
Performance Acknowledgement
Students can earn an acknowledgement for outstanding
performance in/on one of the following:
BILINGUALISM/
BILITERACY
AP/IP EXAM
Score 3 or above on a
College Board AP exam
or
Score 4 or above on
an IB exam
DUAL CREDIT
At least 12 hours of
college academic courses
with a grade of 3.0 or
higher on a 4.0 scale
or
An associate degree
while in high school
PSAT/SAT/PLAN/ACT
PSAT/NMSQT score
qualifying student for
College Board & National
Merit Scholarship
Corporation recognition
or
College readiness
benchmark score on at
least 2 ACT-Plan subject
tests
or
Score at least 410 on
reading section & 520 on
math section of the SAT
or
Composite score of 28
on ACT (excluding the
writing sub score)
Student must complete
all 4 English Language
Arts courses & earn 80%
or higher
+
Never ELL or, if identified
as ELL student, met
criteria for exiting
Bilingual/ESL program
+
o Score advanced high
on TELPAS exam; or
o 3 or higher on AP
world language exam
+
o 4 or higher on IB
world language exam
o Earn 3 credits in same
world language with
min. GPA or 80%+
o 80% or higher in
world language level
