ARTISTS IN THE COMMUNITY The Coast Recital Society is dedicated to the presentation of the finest solo and chamber music performances for Sunshine Coast audiences. Expanding and deepening the concert experience for young and old alike in our community is part of the CRS mandate and tradition. In addition to the annual subscription series, the society presents concerts in local schools and eldercare residences and offers scholarships, workshops, and master classes for local classical music students. The Coast Recital Society’s reputation for artistic excellence has been nurtured and maintained over several decades of outstanding concert presentation on the Sunshine Coast. Our exciting new season continues the longstanding CRS tradition of presenting superb artists, many of whom have performed on the greatest international concert stages: Carnegie Hall, New York; Wigmore Hall, London; Concertgebouw, Amsterdam; Suntory Hall, Tokyo; Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires. COAST RECITAL SOCIETY 2016/17 CONCERT SEASON Our cultural investment in the Sunshine Coast community extends well beyond our subscription series, with concerts in schools and eldercare residences, training workshops, and master classes, all featuring the performers in our subscription series. In addition, we offer annual scholarships for local youth who study classical music. All our activities are made possible by the truly wonderful support from our loyal subscribers, local business sponsorships, and grants from several levels of government. We are grateful to them all.
