It is operated by the Services Touristiques et Locations, which also has the 'heritage' open platform Renault TN4 and has retained some of the last series of open platform SC10R. Like the SC10R, it is based at Thiais depot. The three hybrid Gruau Microbus (720/1 mentioned in 798-OJ-149, plus 722) are to be rebuilt as conventional diesel buses. 722 has been used to test a system developed by Peugeot, called 'Stop-and-Stand', in which the engine is automatically stopped after braking, when the bus comes to rest (easy - it's called stalling) and starts up again when the accelerator is pressed (not so easy). 3001 has been delivered for commissioning tests and is presently unregistered. Agora L 4409/22/3/7 are used as driver trainers. Réseaux Urbains provided full details of 7201-90 (which, apart from registrations, we have already published), indicating that 7245-51/3-5/71-90 do not have registrations. Since, with one exception, all the new registrations date from 2004, it is possible that the intention to register all existing RATP buses has been abandoned, or at least deferred. If so, there has been nothing in the French enthusiast press. Can anyone who has been to Paris recently advise what is happening?
