Man pleads guilty to sharing mosque video
A MAN pleaded guilty in
district court yesterday on
charges of reposting the
livestream of the Christchurch
mosque shootings on Facebook.
The man – who continues to
have name suppression – was
an 18-year-old when

The Styx Mill Rd property was
built 33 years ago and had never
been on the market before. It was
pitched as having development
potential, with the large section
zoned Residential New Neighbourhood.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity for
an astute purchaser to explore
the commercial possibilities,” the
listing said.

He pleaded guilty, by
video link, to possession of
objectionable material and also
guilty to a later indecent act on
a 12-year-old.

Tactix coach re-signs
for three years
The Mainland Tactix have resigned
coach Marianne Delaney-
Hoshek on a three-year deal.

Woman dies after
crash
A woman in her 90s critically
injured in a crash in Prebbleton
on Tuesday has died. Two
others were seriously injured
in the three-car crash at the
intersection of Birchs and
Robinsons Rds about 3.30pm.
One person was trapped in each
vehicle and they were freed by
firefighters. All three were taken
to Christchurch Hospital where
the woman later died.
Water Conservation
Order not advised
City council staff are advising
against seeking a Water
Conservation Order to protect
Christchurch’s groundwater. Staff
were asked by elected members
last year to investigate the merits
of seeking a WCO from the
Ministry for the Environment,
but they have concluded it is not
the best course of action. Staff are
concerned it would be too timeconsuming
and costly and that
it may not achieve the outcomes
desired. They will recommend
the city council does not proceed
with a WCO application at a
meeting next week.
