WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
Public Schools of America are a Vast Mission Field!
WARREN WILLIS
NSP Founder & CEO
“Our mission is to
recruit and train
university students
to coach and mentor
public school students
to reach their campuses
for Christ.”
1. There are 25.8 million high school & middle school students in the United States
2. 84% of all people who receive Christ in the USA do so under the age of 18*
3. 40-50% of students we’ve surveyed have never heard John 3:16
The National School Project exists to bring the gospel message of Jesus Christ to
this next generation of students! We pray that God will bring a student-led, churchsupported
campus awakening to the love of Christ at every public school in America.
To do this, we recruit and train university students to coach and mentor high school
and middle school students to reach their campuses for Christ.
Since 2002, we have coached students at over 350 schools to boldly share Christ
with their peers on campus and have given over 180,000 students the opportunity to
hear the gospel. We believe that God is leading us to go as far and as fast as possible
throughout the nation to help the next generation hear the life-changing message of
Christ while there is still opportunity.
In the past two years alone, NSP college students coached public school students to put on
398 gospel rallies where 1,853 students indicated faith in Christ!
SINCE 2004, MORE THAN 20,000
STUDENTS HAVE HEARD THE GOSPEL
THROUGH PERSONAL WITNESSING
STRATEGY 1 / PERSONAL WITNESSING
We train students to share the life-changing
message of Jesus Christ with their friends
and peers on campus.
6
The First Amendment and the Equal Access Act give Christian students the right to meet on
campus, read the Bible. and share about their faith. For any students needing legal help with
their school, the Pacific Justice Institute is ready and available to coach them. 7

STRATEGY 2 / RALLIES
We train students to host rallies to share the
message of Christ with their school. Students
invite their friends and peers to these on campus
meetings where students and guest speakers
share the hope of Christ.
“I’m only 17! I’m the same
age as everybody here, but
I’m not ashamed of God.”
Local pastors, Christian celebrities, and believers with compelling
testimonies share the hope they have in Christ.
11

STRATEGY 3 / CHRISTIAN MATERIALS
“I just got this Bible
today. I really needed one.
It’s the best book ever!”
We provide students powerful outreach tools
such as Bibles, gospel booklets, apologetic
resources, and follow-up curriculum.
13

STRATEGY 4 / FOLLOW-UP
We train students to follow-up with their peers
through follow-up calls, one-on-one meetings,
small groups, discipleship series, and church
events.
“Follow up
strategies are a
bridge between the
campus and the
church.”
PRAY STUDENTS CONTINUE TO BOLDLY
SHARE THEIR FAITH ON THEIR CAMPUSES
UNTIL EVERY STUDENT HAS HEARD
STRATEGY 5 / PRAYER
We train students to pray for their unsaved
friends. Students pray for their friends
to come to know Christ and pray for
opportunities to share the gospel with them.
DEVELOPING LEADERS, CHANGING LIVES
Students take what they learn with them into the rest of their lives!
We partner with church leaders and teachers to strengthen their ministry to
their public schools.
RYAN KLEMENT
Student Ministries Director
New Life Community Church
Saved in High School
—
“When Daniel shared the gospel
with me, I didn’t imagine that
working with students at my
church would become one of
my favorite things in the world.
It’s been a joy to partner with
NSP and see the students
share the gospel on their
campuses.”
MINDY LEYVAS
Speech Therapist
Former High School Christian
Club President
—
“My NSP mentor showed me how a
person make a positive impact by not
only listening, but providing a loving
atmosphere and godly council. This
is something that I seek to emulate
today as a high school ministry leader
at my local church.”
JARED HIGGINS
Senior Pastor
The Church at Green Hills
Former College Student Mentor
—
“With NSP I was really stretched
in sharing the gospel clearly and
regularly. That evangelism training
has been so helpful in my ministry
now. Whether it be leading missions
trips or taking students on outings
to share the gospel, I owe a lot to my
formation through NSP.”
JENNIFER K.
Teacher Advisor for
High School Christian Club
—
“NSP is a game changer! It
teaches students and teachers
how to maximize their legal
rights on their campus... We
need this at every public HS in
the nation!”
RYAN HALL
Senior Pastor
Harvest Bible Chapel
Palos Heights, IL
—
“Before NSP arrived, my soul was
longing to see a great awakening in
the next generation... Now to hear
how my students are embracing the
vision to bring the gospel to their
schools, it gives me hope that this
can happen anywhere.”
ANDREW RITIAU
Director of Youth
Arcadia Community Church
Arcadia, CA
—
“I’m really thankful to the
mentorship that NSP provides.
No one can reach students like
students and it’s thanks in
huge part to NSP.”
RICH HUNG
California State Director
CALIFORNIA TEAM
Rich is passionate about evangelism and originally approached NSP to mobilize his church
to reach the local high school. Now Rich leads the charge in the most populous state in the
nation with a mission field of 2,685+ public schools. The California team has established
a strong team of university students and community partners in Southern California and
has short-term work throughout Northern and Central California. In the coming years, the
California team hopes to see this short-term work become firmly established.
