Firstly, Covid safety of Festival goers has been a priority and this year’s Festival offers for the first time a hybrid experience alongside the usual audience gathering in Cedars Hall with refreshments and the Waterstones pop-up shop. Strict measures will be in place – including cleaning, social distancing and masks – with an algorithm allowing groups to sit together. This familiar Wells experience will be combined with live, highly professional streaming of the whole Festival for those who prefer to watch from home. So what is the second new development?
