Students or staff developing symptoms during the school day:<br />

Symptoms of COVID-19 include the<br />

following:<br />

Fever or chills<br />

Cough<br />

Shortness of breath or difficulty<br />

breathing<br />

Fatigue<br />

Muscle or body aches<br />

Headache<br />

New loss of taste or smell<br />

Sore throat<br />

Congestion or runny nose<br />

Nausea or vomiting<br />

Diarrhea<br />

Students and staff developing symptoms<br />

during the school day (including<br />

temperature screenings upon entry<br />

to the school) will be isolated and<br />

sent home as soon as possible. There<br />

is staff available to observe and provide support and help with basic needs. Staff caring<br />

for students developing symptoms during the school day will:<br />

Provide support and help cover basic needs<br />

Look for emergency warning signs and seek emergency medical care (911)<br />

immediately if:<br />

Trouble breathing<br />

Persistent pain or pressure in the chest<br />

New confusion<br />

Inability to wake or stay awake<br />

Bluish lips or face<br />

<br />

<br />

Wear face masks, shields, disposable gloves, and gowns when in contact with sick<br />

individuals for longer than 10 minutes.<br />

Clean and disinfect commonly touched surfaces<br />

Cleaning after a Positive Case:<br />

Classrooms and bathrooms used by the individual will be closed off for a minimum of 24<br />

hours before being cleaned and disinfected. After being disinfected, the classrooms and<br />

other spaces may be used normally.<br />
