What is TRX? Is it beneficial?

Hi, everybody! I am so glad to write another article for you. Today I am going to talk about

a sport that has become a trend lately and that everybody is talking about. Let’s start to read.

Total Resistance Exercises also known as TRX is a form of suspension training that uses

body weight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously.

How does it work?

The equipment is very simple; the user has to use a nylon single strap which is hung from a

ceiling and which has loops for hands or feet. This singular piece might not look like much,

yet once you do some exercises you will feel how tough it is.

How was it born?

This kind of training was developed by former U.S. Navy SEAL Randy Hetrick. The reason

was because he wanted to solve a problem they commonly faced: the lack of equipment to

train. As a result, by using a parachute belt, he developed a series of functional exercises

which involved just the body weight.
