May Older American Month<br />
We take our celebrating seriously! As we celebrated National Older American Month and National Nursing<br />
Home Week in May, we had some spectacular events, some pictured below!<br />

For Mother’s Day , we celebrated the amazing<br />
accomplishments and gifts shared by our wonderful<br />
mothers, aunts, sisters and women in<br />
general at <strong>Aase</strong> <strong>Haugen</strong> <strong>Homes</strong> by having “The<br />
Amazing Mark” come to perform his Mostly<br />
Magic Vaudeville Revue! (right)<br />
What could be causing such mixed reactions<br />
from the crowd?? Just Larry Reis and his snakes!<br />
Larry brought in a few harmless friends during his May educational seminar<br />
on “Snakes” at AHH. Ray Fadness thinks they’re cute and smiles,<br />
but his wife Arlene has a decidedly different opinion!<br />

for a wide variety of information and booths!<br />
Among all the information about finances, vision,<br />
nutrition, health and wellness, senior assistance,<br />
senior housing, home health and so much more,<br />
participants received free root beer floats, courtesy<br />
of <strong>Aase</strong>’s own Deb Palmersheim, LPN and<br />
Cindy Saddler, RN! <strong>Aase</strong>’s Nursing Dept. gave<br />
free blood pressure checks!<br />
In addition to his feats of magic, Mark<br />
entertained the crowd with music, jokes,<br />
skits and good, old-fashioned FUN!<br />
Laughter and smiles truly are the best<br />
Mothers Day present you can give!
