ETS Ltd was established in 1996 and is
based in Warrington, Cheshire and cover
work within the North West region. It is a
small family company which means it is able
to focus its attention to quality workmanship
whilst affording a first class personal back up
service. Being a family run company it takes
pride on offering a professional, efficient and
friendly service from the first point of contact
through to the finish.
The company works closely with local
council and NHS bodies on a wide variation
of projects.
Finishing asked Anthony Bate owner of ETS
about his business and the markets that it
works in.
What does ETS do?
Entrance Technology Services manufactures
of aluminium security gates for
industrial/residential application which are
branded as Aligates
How long have you been in business?
ETS commenced 1996 as a family run
business by Kenneth Bate who started by
manufacturing timber based gates,from a
home workshop. Anthony Bate has further
developed the business to become one of the
UK leading gate and security manufactures &
installers
Do you specialise in any particular
process?
In January 2020 ETS moved into their new
18000 sq/ft facility based Warrington a new
state of the art pre treatment process with full
automatic powder coating and sublimation
process was installed for the application of
high quality powder coating finishes and the
wood grain sublimation process
How did you come to specialise in the
sublimation process for wood grain
effect on aluminium profiles?
We currently import wood grained materials
from Australia to fabricate into our gates. We
have complemented this range and adapted it
to suit the UK market with our own profiles
and additional wood grain colours. This has
allowed us to now manufacturer and supply to
installers within 4 weeks of receipt of an order.
Is this process becoming more popular
in the UK and can you give any
examples of people who have used the
process?
The process is uniques to ETS Ltd for their
own manufactured products, the sublimation
wood grain effect is becoming more popular
we can offer 8 varieties of wood grain effects
which we expect to increase due to demand.
What pre-treatment processes do you
use?
We work with Barry Clements Pre
Treatment Solutions Ltd who supplies the
process PHOS - PREP a non chrome pre
treatment for aluminium. The process is set up
to meet the performance requirements of
Qualicoat which we will be applying for.
Do you work with a company on your
pre-treatment processes?
The equipment was installed with TD
Finishing, controls procedures and operational
technical support we receive from Pre
Treatment Solutions Ltd.
How do you see the market going
forward?
I expect the market to increase
exponentially over the next few years and into
the next decade.
ETS Ltd being a family run business is
flexible for dealing with the smallest of
customers as well as the largest blue chip
operations
