STRENGTH
IN
RECOVERY

STRENGTH.
This year, Odyssey House has shown tremendous strength. From July
2019 to March 2020, we served the most patients ever recorded, we
opened several new programs, and we were in the strongest fiscal
position in agency history. 2020 was set to be the best year we have
ever had.
Like many organizations, COVID-19 shifted our trajectory for the
remainder of the year. Our agency quickly implemented numerous
intensive precautions to keep all clients and staff safe. To that end,
Odyssey House now stands as the gold standard in COVID-19 treatment
center precautions in Utah.

I am deeply humbled by the sheer strength of our clients and staff
during this stressful time. I am inspired by our Odyssey family having
worked together to navigate the most significant challenge we have
ever faced. I am proud of our steadfast commitment to our mission
and all of the support we received from you, our community partners.
Sending thoughts of health and strength during this unprecedented
time,
Warmest regards,
Adam Cohen
Chief Executive Officer
GROWING
& THRIVING
This year, Odyssey House has served
9,356 individuals, a 430% increase in
people served since 2010. That
amount of growth is staggering,
and not surprisingly, many
community members are not
familiar with how large Odyssey
House is.
Currently employing 338 people,
we operate out of the 26 locations
shown above. We are also proud to
serve as a teaching campus for
interns from local colleges of social
work, nursing, psychiatry, and
medical professions.
Odyssey remains steadfast in our
commitment to serving local Utahns
regardless of their background or
financial situation. This year, we
have provided $1,481,949 in charity
care support to low-income families
who fall into coverage gaps.
PROGRAM
HIGHLIGHT
Odyssey House’s Parent’s with Children Program provides residential treatment to
moms and dads along with their young children ages 0-10. This program helps
educate parents who struggle with mental illness and addiction to heal, build a
healthy family, and effectively break the multi-generational cycle of abuse.
Each parent receives all of Odyssey’s addiction, medical, and mental health services
while their kids participate in our therapeutic daycare. All families engage in family
therapy, attachment work, and the children receive individual play therapy at age
three.
It is important to note that Odyssey House has the only Father's with Children program
in the State of Utah, and there are only two operating in the nation. Odyssey
continues to stand out by providing the only family sober housing apartments in the
State of Utah. Many moms and dads have difficulty finding housing post-treatment
that helps foster a safe and recovery friendly setting. Our family units include
playgrounds, community gardens, and BBQ areas to ensure the families have a
healthy home setting.
