LILAC AMPULE EASY TO
BE BROKEN
1 st Separate two intact
ampoules of Bioindicator
from the same batch:
- 1 Test Ampoule
- 1 Control Ampoule.
HOW TO USE
2 nd Pack one of the ampoules in
a sterilization envelope.
Insert it into the autoclave
and perform the sterilization
cycle. This will be the Test
Ampoule.
3 rd Upon conclusion of
the sterilization cycle,
remove the Test Ampoule
from the envelope. The
thermochromatic strip
(chemical indicator) must
have changed its color from
pink to brown.
4 th Insert 1/3 of the Test Ampoule
into the incubator and press
it against the wall of the
incubator resulting in the
breaking of the inner glass
ampoule and the release of the
growth medium.
5 th Hold the ampoules as shown
above and tap the bottom.
Make sure that the paper
disc has been soaked with
the growth medium. Repeat
the process with the Control
Ampoule
6 th Place the two ampoules (Test
and Control) in the incubator
for 8 hours or 24 hours,
depending on the presentation
used.
