BRC NAF Five Star National Horse Trial Championship
READERRESULTS
The NAF Five Star National Horse Trial Championship were held on the 4 th & 5 th of
August. Here we celebrate some of our readers achievements that have been sent
into Northants Horse Trader Magazine.
Elise Kyle & Sizzling Sophie 1 st
NAF Magic Junior HT 90 Individual Arena 1
We asked Elise about her fantastic
results and this is what she told us
“Sophie was mega, even in the heat! I
couldn’t of asked her to be any better!
She was so relaxed in the dressage and
produced a lovely test scoring 31.1
In the showjumping she was at her best,
I honestly can’t believe how brilliant she
felt! but as we want over the 3rd to last
fence she brushed the pole, I thought it
went down but very lucky in bounced
back in to the cup! it was a heart in the
mouth moment!
Due to the ground being hard the BRC
cancelled the Roads & Tracks & the
steeplechase sections so we only had to
compete in the cross country on the
Sunday.
It was a technical, hilly course and with
the ground being hard, I didn’t want to
push her too hard. Sophie, being Sophie
had other ideas and she obviously
wanted some fun and some fun is what
she got! She had a beautiful round and
finished in the time!
Ending the long weekend in 1st place in
my section and 8th including all sections!
I still can’t believe it.
I could not be more proud on my
Sophie!”
Houghton and Huntingdon Riding Club from area 7 came 1 st in the team 100 and
was the only team to score sub 100 penalties. In addition to their team win,
individually they also secured a 1 st, 2 nd and 5 th in arena individually. The picture
above is left to right: grey horse and rider is Claire Ludeks riding Ellie's Duke (5th
individually), Barry Meningen Riding News for You (2nd individually), Katherine
Peden riding Rufus (1st individually) Katy Watson riding Hunt Politics. The riding
clubs 110 team came 3 rd overall with 3 rd, 5 th and 7 th in the arena individually.

The duo also came 13th in their arena at the 5* Junior HT80
