Christmas shopping made easy
HAS Christmas snuck up on you? Are
you struggling to find fresh, original gift
ideas for family and friends? Head down
to the Sumner Market. You’re bound to
find inspiration.
“We have a great range of stalls, from
incredible crafts to produce, and amazing
food from all over the world,” said
Clayton Spence, market coordinator.
On offer is a colourful array of garden
fresh vegetables, free range eggs, vege
boxes, and seedlings to grow your own.
For the peckish there’s a terrific choice
of quality eats, from international street
food to candy floss. There’s oven fresh
bakery goods, waffles, donuts, vegan and
gluten free options, homemade lemonade,
and barista crafted coffee to name a few.
There’s also a wide and varied
assortment of gift ideas including trinkets,
arts & crafts, gemstones, dream catchers,
cushions, fashion, linen and handcrafted
jewellery.
Situated only metres from the beach
and Sumner’s iconic Cave Rock, the
Sumner Market’s seaside location is
stunning and worth a visit simply for that
reason. It’s been running since 2003 and
operates every Sunday from 11am to 3pm
November to April.
“It’s a great place to catch up with
friends and enjoy great shopping, local
food stalls and local live entertainment,”
said Clayton. “We’re easy to find, on
the left just after the Sumner Surf Club.
And while here why not explore the
surrounding local restaurants, bars, cafes
and shops. Bring your swimmers and
make a day of it in Sumner! There’s so
much on offer down here.”
