About the Artist<br />
<strong>Carrie</strong> <strong>Sieh</strong> (b. 1978, Los Angeles, CA) is an interdisciplinary<br />
artist, advoc<strong>at</strong>e, and permaculture enthusiast living and working<br />
in Miami. Her practice is inspired by cultural, geographic,<br />
and economic histories; theories of mind, intersectionality,<br />
communic<strong>at</strong>ion, and organiz<strong>at</strong>ion; geoscience; p<strong>at</strong>tern,<br />
cryptology and symbolism; thought experiments; game theory;<br />
social justice movements; personal narr<strong>at</strong>ive; and the ways in<br />
which knowledge finds m<strong>at</strong>erial expression. <strong>Sieh</strong> received a BA<br />
in painting and photography from the University of California <strong>at</strong><br />
Santa Cruz, and a Master’s in Library and Inform<strong>at</strong>ion Science<br />
from San José St<strong>at</strong>e University. Her work has been exhibited<br />
<strong>at</strong> Bernice Steinbaum Gallery, Miami; Art & History Museums,<br />
Maitland, FL; Miami Intern<strong>at</strong>ional Airport; Bienes Museum<br />
of the Modern Book, Fort Lauderdale; Coral Gables Museum;<br />
MDC Museum of Art & Design, Miami; Charles Deering Est<strong>at</strong>e,<br />
Miami; and the Art & Culture Center of Hollywood, FL, among<br />
others. She is represented by Bernice Steinbaum Gallery.<br />
About the Cur<strong>at</strong>or<br />
Omar López-Chahoud has been Artistic Director and<br />
Cur<strong>at</strong>or of UNTITLED, ART since its founding in 2012. As<br />
an independent cur<strong>at</strong>or, López-Chahoud has cur<strong>at</strong>ed and<br />
co-cur<strong>at</strong>ed numerous exhibitions in the United St<strong>at</strong>es and<br />
intern<strong>at</strong>ionally. He organized the Nicaraguan Biennial in March<br />
2014 and has particip<strong>at</strong>ed in panel discussions <strong>at</strong> Artists<br />
Space, Art in General, MoMA PS1, and the Whitney Museum<br />
of American Art in New York City. He is currently a member of<br />
the Bronx Museum Acquisitions Committee. López-Chahoud<br />
earned MFAs from Yale University School of Art and the Royal<br />
Academy of Art in London.<br />
