Attitude of
gratitude
Life is a journey from the caterpillar to the
butterfly moment. A beautiful library of
memoirs, a collection of stories of those fragrant
flowers compressed, and fondly treasured inbetween
the pages of our lives, our souls
drenched in the essence of all those wonderful
experiences and all those who are an essential
part of those stories, which maketh our being.
Do we ever think about what could give us that
one feeling, which makes our stories worthy and
full of life, starting from our birth to the growing
years, till the autumn of our lives. In this fast
moving world, technology makes our lives
easier and everything seems just a click away,
momentary pleasures accessible at our finger
tips. We are compelled to keep up the pace and
momentum, whilst we try to catch up with life
that’s happening around us. In-between the old
and the new, we often forget to be thankful for
what we have, and often chase things we don’t
need. So, in order to bring a balance in our lives,
we need to practice the attitude of gratitude.
JOY, is a state of being..
HAPPINESS, is multiplied by sharing..
GRATITUDE, is a sense of abundance.
There are many ways to practice and understand
the term ‘gratitude’, to imbibe the same in our
daily routine.
1. Gratitude to self ~ Being grateful to the five
senses, our mind , body and soul , helps us take
care of our well-being.
2. Gratitude to food, water, all the resources
provided to us , including the feeling of joy and
rejuvenation in the lap of our mother nature.
3. Gratitude to the best moments of our life and
our achievements, often connects us deeply
with those values, people and situations which
helped us reach several milestones. It helps us to

4. Gratitude to our families, gurus for imparting
life’s lessons selflessly, to shape our careers and
life as a whole.
5. Gratitude to our support staff, colleagues
house help, neighborhood etc, helps to create
positive and inclusive surroundings.
From dawn to dusk, childhood to adulthood,
there are always people who encourage,
motivate and inspire us in various walks of our
lives. The thought of gratitude isn’t to burden
our minds with indebtedness, but to add value,
meaning and fill worthiness into every living
moment. We need to be grateful during times of
both, adversity and joy, as one comes as a lesson
and the other as a blessing. There will be
situations where we lose hope and belief.
If we hold on to negativity, anger, worry, hate or
sadness, we won’t be able to spread positive
vibes. With a positive mindset, we strive to build
awareness, trust and faith bring progress. This
way, we create hope for humanity to prevail.
Acceptance of things as they are, creates
abundance, which is why an attitude of gratitude
b r i n g s p e a c e . E ver y a c t a n d t h o u g h t
embellished in gratitude adds so much more
meaning to life, brings in a positive change in
the community as a whole.
Gratitude is not just a practice, but a way of life.
The universe resides in us and we are the
universe! Let’s all motivate, inspire each other
and celebrate gratitude ! Relax! Take a gratitude
pause, go for a gratitude walk, stop and smell a
flower and look at the way the flower teaches
you, how wonderful it is to open up to life’s gifts.
