BHPV SCHOOL
MEGA REUNION
1978-1993 Batches
water on terrace in buckets and used that as
distilled water is great – it made us feel like
scientists.
The brown ring experiments, the fruity odour -
essence, the rotten egg smelling H2S – all bring
back the wonderful memories of school days –
this is what made our chemistry sir, a very
inspiring and energetic teacher.
His body language, funny way of explaining with
w i d e a n d e x p r e s s i v e g e s t u r e s . H i s
demonstrations and illustrations bring the out
side world into class and makes it lively.
“Catalyst” is one thing which never ceases to put
a smile on my face every time I listen to it. Hara
Gopal sir had a unique way of making us
understand chemistry. I remember him saying
“Catalyst is like Narada” “ Instigates reaction ..
once reaction Propagates -- It comes out
unharmed” . Do you know anyone who can make
us understand this so well.
Million kudos also don't suffice for expressing
our feelings for your excellence in teaching Sir,
He is not just an inspiring teacher, he is a noble
person, a true loving human being. His
professional life is par excellence. His personal
commitment towards his family is beyond
expression. He is the only teacher I think who
remembers us by name and year of passing too.
Sigmund Freud might have said “To be best
teacher - build a rapport and also learn to break
the rapport“. Our Hara Gopal Sir's unique style is
build a rapport, continue to be there for your
student – as long as he thinks the student
needs you.
When I once casually told him that my daughter
is struggling with chemistry for her exams – he
didn't hesitate to come and be her guide and
mentor. He makes us feel like we are very much
an important part of his life. This make us feel
he's our teacher, guide , mentor and an
important member of our family.
Words fail to describe my feelings for this great
person. I just conclude by saying, my sincere
thanks to you sir, I owe my knowledge to your
knowledgeable guidance.
