The competition attracted teams from NSW, NT, Southern States and the New Zealand Navy. The men’s title was contested between Southern States and NSW/ NT. NSW/NT had won two of their past encounters, however Southern States came out with some powerful hitting and blew NSW/NT out of the park. As a result, the president decided both teams would be crowned winners. The women’s competition was a one-sided affair with NSW/NT only losing one game to the New Zealand Navy side. Test matchs were also played between the NZ Navy and the ADF teams with the Aussie women retaining the Trans Tasman Trophy, but the Kiwi men proved too strong .
