terminée, faute de moyens, elle
devait culminer à 138 mètres; celle
de l'église Saint-Nicolas est un bel
exemple du gothique scaldien du
XIII e siècle en pierres bleues de
Tournai.
On the Pont Saint-Michel (St-
Michielsbrug) you will enjoy a breathtaking
view of the Graslei and the
Korenlei. Nearby, you will see the
tower of the Saint-Michel church,
which is unique for never having
been completed due to a lack of
means. It had to peak at 138 metres;
that of the church of Saint-Nicolas
is a fine example of 13th-century
Scaldian Gothic in blue stones from
Tournai.
