<strong>Bears</strong> to deliver Project <strong>Rugby</strong> webinars.<br />

First team players from <strong>Bristol</strong> <strong>Bears</strong> and <strong>Bristol</strong> <strong>Bears</strong> Women<br />

have joined forces with the Community Foundation and<br />

Premiership <strong>Rugby</strong>’s Project <strong>Rugby</strong> <strong>programme</strong> to deliver a<br />

series of webinars to young people in the city.<br />

<strong>Bears</strong> stars will cover topics such as ‘rugby and class’, ‘disability<br />

and rugby’, ‘black players and rugby’ and ‘women in rugby’ with<br />

young people on the club’s Project <strong>Rugby</strong> scheme.<br />

Community Development Manager, Craig Capel, said: “Project<br />

<strong>Rugby</strong> exists to provide increasing opportunities for young<br />

people from disadvantaged communities, Black, Asian and Ethnic<br />

Minority groups and disabled people to engage in rugby union<br />

and has seen community colleagues work with over 4,000 young<br />

players since 2017.<br />

“European glory, Premiership play offs, five wins from the first<br />

six this season, international quality across the squad - <strong>Bristol</strong><br />

is again now a rugby city with the players and staff contributing<br />

positively to the vision of ‘inspiring a community through rugby<br />

success.’<br />

“There is little doubt in my mind that the club is helping the<br />

Foundation to reach more people than ever before, even during<br />

a global pandemic!<br />

“I’m very excited about extending our reach further with<br />

the launch of a series of live webinars that will explore the<br />

experiences of our players across themes relevant to Project<br />

<strong>Rugby</strong>.<br />

“I hope hearing our players talking candidly about both positive<br />

and negative experiences they have faced whilst forging a<br />

career in our game will inspire even more to get involved and<br />

enjoy all there is to enjoy about our magnificent game.”<br />
