TO ME
TOMRA...
- is a company that matches many of my strong values and beliefs: it’s important that I spend my time
doing something meaningful, working to have a positive impact on the environment, on the community.
- plays an active role in accelerating change and I enjoy being part of this.
- is a humble, caring, supportive, and a forward-thinking organisation.
- makes mistakes but it’s unlikely it will make them twice.
- is daring, willing to try new things, push boundaries, and not shy at empowering its employees.
- has a bright future, full of promising opportunities for growth.
- is collaborative, I also really like getting involved in various cross-departmental projects.
Without underestimating the challenges associated with working in a fast-paced environment,
within a relatively complex* structure, multiple stakeholders and partners, working for TOMRA has
been exciting and very rewarding. And not only because of the “WHY”. The “HOW” has been equally
important… I believe using the adjective “genuine” to qualify a for-profit international company is quite
uncommon but to me, TOMRA’s intentions feel very genuine.
Something that is part of the company’s DNA, its leaders, its culture.
My experience at TOMRA has been very positive and I hope it continues that way.
- Remi Duracher
* I find this complexity so intriguing and interesting because the
product we collect is so “basic”, That contradiction is fascinating :)
My favourite thing about TOMRA’s culture is the focus on
PROGRESS while providing a SUPPORTIVE environment.
THE HIGHLIGHT OF WORKING IN TOMRA FOR ME HAS BEEN THE PEOPLE
THAT I’VE HAD THE CHANCE TO MEET AND MAKE THE DEEPEST AND
MOST MEANINGFUL CONNECTIONS WITH OVER THE PAST 3 YEARS.
From day 1 where we were a tiny lost bunch of enthusiastic and
passionate people who didn’t have answers to everything but the
willingness to concur all our goals because of the trust and camaraderie
we had to make TCA not just an outstanding company but to create an
example of what people with passion and determination can achieve.
We’ve come a long way from there and I cannot be happier seeing the
same people doing so well professionally and in personal life as well as
the growth of the company. I can confidently say that with experience
and collaboration and respect spread throughout all departments and
Team, everyone is clear on the vision that we are making a difference
in one of the biggest change any company has been able to achieve
towards creating a better world to live for our future generation to come.
No matter how great our product is and the greatest strategies that have
been implemented, I feel like the genuine passion, empathy and respect
that we have is our biggest competitive advantage and the biggest
difference between working in any other company.
TOMRA is an amazing company to work for. It’s complex,
challenging and high pressure, but it’s also caring, supportive and
collaborative, and we’re all passionate about the environment and
protecting our planet for future generations. I don’t think you’ll
thrive or survive long if you’re not driven by the same inner desire
to make a positive difference. Which is what we’re all driven by
– both individually and collectively. But it’s also a business that
genuinely cares about it’s people, both from a safety-at-work
perspective and from a growth and development perspective.
It’s people, planet, profit – in that order. And it’s working. I feel
empowered to do the very best job I can and to make mistakes,
knowing that if some things don’t work, we’ll learn from them and
move on. I no longer think of my co-workers as colleagues, I think
of them as friends. So I can’t imagine working anywhere else now.
Or wanting to.
- Anon
I’ve found too many people in my journey to even name them that genuinely
care about me and my future and a lifelong friendship with the best motives in
heart. Before working at TOMRA, I thought it would never have been possible
to have such meaningful connection with your work colleagues which I’m
extremely grateful for.
We have our challenges and pain points and a lot of room for improvement
in terms of developing our skills and creating an even better environment for
people to flourish and perform at a very high level crushing all goals but I’m
sure with communication, passion, empathy and awareness everything will fall
into place in the coming years.
What defines TOMRA to me is how the company genuinely cares about the
employees that are serious about making a change alongside the trust and help
received for upskilling and how the Leadership team is great at showing the
bigger picture on why loopers do what they do.
There isn’t a day in the last 3 odd years that I didn’t want to be part of the
company or felt like I don’t belong here and even if it’s a bad day, I’m gratified to
have people in TOMRA beside me to talk and guide me through the dark times.
I cannot wait to see where and how the next 5, 10, 15 years will look like for us.

TOMRA is a company that believes in making a positive difference
in the recycling industry. Its focus is governed by a set of values that
helps to lead container depositing schemes across the world. The
current TOMRA Culture is built on collaboration and empowerment
where teamwork and inclusion are key drivers of success. The
innovation, flexibility, passion and belief in each other sets TOMRA
apart from its competitors. TOMRA Team Members, also known
as Loopers (a tribal notion), are provided opportunities to excel
and create value-driven ideas in line with its mission, promoting
accountability, transparency and trust.
I like the fact that everyone is making a meaningful contribution
and permitted to create and explore new ideas without obstacles
being put in their way. Loopers from diverse backgrounds, different
educational experiences and varied interests can express their views
and are supported to make a positive difference. Loopers feel that
they belong to TOMRA and their contributions are valued.
