About 1 in 4 older adults fall<br />
every year in New Zealand and<br />
of those about 1 in 5 result in<br />
injury, some of them serious.<br />
Yes it could happen to you,<br />
but the good news is there is a<br />
lot you can do to prevent having<br />
a fall including: strength<br />
and balance exercises, managing<br />
your medications, having<br />
your vision checked and making<br />
your living environment<br />
safer. Falling is not a necessary<br />

you don’t have to be fit<br />

There are seated and standing<br />
options and the leader<br />
is there to help you exercise<br />
safely and at your own pace.<br />

class is motivation. Most people<br />
find exercising with others<br />
and with the guidance of an<br />
instructor much easier than<br />
