Being a long-time native of the Perdido Key Community,
I have witnessed firsthand the unparalleled challenges
this past year has presented. Not only for our
community but for our businesses. These challenges
have highlighted our unique community’s most amazing characteristics
and reminded us that it is the small acts of kindness that this
community brings that will always pull us through together.
Here in Perdido, we always look at the brighter skies ahead! As I speak
to our members and community leaders, I am left in awe. In awe of their
courage and determination to always come back bigger, better, and bolder!
In this year’s guide, you will hear from a few businesses that are
doing just that. From complete renovations of a sunset favorite to
adding a service or relocating for community convenience, these
businesses have shown resilience in the face of adversity. Our local
small businesses have always been here to help each visitor and
resident and will continue to do so for many years to come.
These triumphant stories are all thanks to the dedicated
workforce who keep this community going. Our first responders,
emergency managers, healthcare workers, hospitality staff, and
essential workers from all trades have made this possible. You have
renewed my appreciation for this community and all we are!
