Adventure Prayer
#1
#3
This week, when you hear the screaming
sirens of an emergency vehicle, pause and
pray. Pray for protection for all involved.
For courage and calm. For clear minds to
observe and interpret situations. For
wisdom for the split second decisions.
Expand your prayer language by praying
other people's prayers:
Go for a prayer walk around your neighborhood,
praying for each neighbor individually by name.
Memorize the Lord's Prayer in
Matthew 6:9-13 and pray it every
day for seven days.
#2
We often say that prayer is a
two-way conversation, but don't
act that way. This week, before
you start praying, spend a few
moments in silence followed by
a quiet reflection on God's
Word. Allow God to start the
conversation.
#5
This week, instead of saying your
prayers, write them.
Did you know, that's how the Book of
Psalms came about.
Practice “prayer breaks” throughout the day,
pausing for a few moments of prayer every hour;
set an alarm on your phone to help you
remember.
your mom
Give her lots of
kisses.
Often tell her how
Regularly ask if
you could help her
with anything.
Draw her a picture or
write her a card.
