AFTER SCHOOL CARE – OUTDOOR PLANNING
We have been reflecting on our outdoor
planning. We have asked parents for
donations such as metal cooking equipment,
picnic basket items, dress ups ,Tule skirts and fairy
wands. Our plan is to extend the learning and
socialising that the outdoor environment can give
to our students.
Our first step was to take the cubby house sheets,
which have always been used inside, and now use
them outside. This opened up a huge new range
of play and social opportunities.
TASHA AND JAI ENJOYING
RELAXING IN THE BEDROOM
OF THEIR CUBBY HOUSE.
The students first enjoyed making outdoor
cubby houses. Georgia and Charli even
extended their cubby house to include
a shower!
Over the next few days, the students
experimented with their use of the sheets.
Eliza worked out a system of tying the sheet
securely. She reasoned that looping the sheet
around the monkey bars and then using the
weight of the person sitting on the swing
would ensure that the knot she tied would
remain secure.
THE NEXT STEP WAS TO CREATE
SOME RELAXING HAMMOCKS.
JUNIOR SCHOOL
SURVEYS
Tintern Schools is always
looking at ways to improve
the experiences of its students.
Towards this end, we would
appreciate you giving us
important feedback on various
aspects of the Tintern Junior
School at Tintern Schools.
Your opinion is valuable to us
and we would therefore like to
invite you to participate in this
survey. The aim of the survey
is to gain general feedback and
understand your perceptions
regarding the quality of your
child’s education experience
with the school.
The information obtained will
be used by us to evaluate parent
opinion, in order to improve the
quality of education at the school
for students. All responses will
remain anonymous and Tintern
Schools Senior Executive will rely
only on the numerical results in
their future decision-making.
However, decisions made by
the school do not rely solely
on the opinions expressed in
this survey. As always, staff and
management are interested to
hear feedback from parents via
all other avenues - comments
you may make to your
child’s class teacher or other
communication you may make
directly with the school.
To access the survey please click
on the link below. We would be
very grateful if you were able
to take the time to give us this
valuable feedback.
