Owhrode Community gets new executive
THE
Owhrode
Community in Udu
Local Government Area of
Delta State has elected a
executive thus witnessing
a peaceful transition of
leadership for the first time
in over three decades.
Speaking after the
election, the new President
General of the newlysworn
executive, Engr
Fidelix Ofuya said his
administration would use
the three years mandate to
consolidate on the positive
developments achieved by
his predecessor.
Also speaking at the
conference, former
Chairman of Udu Council,
Mr Raymond Edijala and
the President General of the
Union of Udu Community,
Chief Godwin Notoma
hailed the outgone
executive led by Edafe
Oghenekaro for not
clinging on to power like
past leaders.
Edijala and Notoma
noted that Oghenekaro
willingness to peacefully
hand over power was a
signal of a new dawn in
Owhrode Community and
a formidable model for
other communities in Udu
Kingdom.
They charged the new
executive to work with
people in the community.
Giving his account of
stewardship, the outgone
President General of
Owhrode, Edafe
Oghenekaro appealed to
the people of the
community to close ranks
and place its interest above
personal interest.

CHUKS Onyebuchi,
the CEO of Union

conferred with the
Fellowship of the British
Computer Society (BCS)
which is the highest
professional grade of the
British Computer
Society. This was
achieved after a rigorous
evaluation process by the
association’s board of
evaluators.
Fellow of the British
Computer Society (FBCS)
is a title conferred by the
British Computer Society
for innovative IT leaders
who have made an
outstanding contribution to
the advancement of the
industry and inspire the
next generation. Chuks
will join the league of IT
leaders globally to
contribute to policies that
will shape the industry.
Onyebuchi is a
technology business leader
with over 25 years of
experience in the
information technology
industry. He has had an
accomplished career
developing and delivering
software solutions to major
banks in Africa. Under his
leadership, Union
Systems introduced Trade-
X, a home-grown trade
finance software
application that solves all
the peculiar problems faced
in the Nigerian trade
finance operations.
