Owhrode Community gets new executive<br />

Owhrode<br />

Community <strong>in</strong> Udu<br />

Local Government Area of<br />

Delta State has elected a<br />

executive thus witness<strong>in</strong>g<br />

a peaceful transition of<br />

leadership for the first time<br />

<strong>in</strong> over three decades.<br />

Speak<strong>in</strong>g after the<br />

election, the new President<br />

General of the newlysworn<br />

executive, Engr<br />

Fidelix Ofuya said his<br />

adm<strong>in</strong>istration would use<br />

the three years mandate to<br />

consolidate on the positive<br />

developments achieved by<br />

his predecessor.<br />

Also speak<strong>in</strong>g at the<br />

conference, former<br />

Chairman of Udu Council,<br />

Mr Raymond Edijala and<br />

the President General of the<br />

Union of Udu Community,<br />

Chief Godw<strong>in</strong> Notoma<br />

hailed the outgone<br />

executive led by Edafe<br />

Oghenekaro for not<br />

cl<strong>in</strong>g<strong>in</strong>g on to power like<br />

past leaders.<br />

will<strong>in</strong>gness to peacefully<br />

hand over power was a<br />

signal of a new dawn <strong>in</strong><br />

Owhrode Community and<br />

a formidable model for<br />

other communities <strong>in</strong> Udu<br />

K<strong>in</strong>gdom.<br />

They charged the new<br />

executive to work with<br />

people <strong>in</strong> the community.<br />

stewardship, the outgone<br />

President General of<br />

Owhrode, Edafe<br />

Oghenekaro appealed to<br />

the people of the<br />

community to close ranks<br />

and place its <strong>in</strong>terest above<br />

personal <strong>in</strong>terest.<br />

conferred with the<br />

Fellowship of the British<br />

Computer Society (BCS)<br />

which is the highest<br />

professional grade of the<br />

British Computer<br />

Society. This was<br />

achieved after a rigorous<br />

evaluation process by the<br />

association’s board of<br />

evaluators.<br />

Fellow of the British<br />

Computer Society (FBCS)<br />

is a title conferred by the<br />

British Computer Society<br />

for <strong>in</strong>novative IT leaders<br />

who have made an<br />

outstand<strong>in</strong>g contribution to<br />

the advancement of the<br />

<strong>in</strong>dustry and <strong>in</strong>spire the<br />

next generation. Chuks<br />

will jo<strong>in</strong> the league of IT<br />

leaders globally to<br />

contribute to policies that<br />

will shape the <strong>in</strong>dustry.<br />

Onyebuchi is a<br />

technology bus<strong>in</strong>ess leader<br />

with over 25 years of<br />

experience <strong>in</strong> the<br />

<strong>in</strong>formation technology<br />

<strong>in</strong>dustry. He has had an<br />

accomplished career<br />

develop<strong>in</strong>g and deliver<strong>in</strong>g<br />

software solutions to major<br />

banks <strong>in</strong> Africa. Under his<br />

leadership, Union<br />
