HE IS THE
RESURRECTION
Easter has passed, but we can still rejoice
in Christ being the One who died on the
cross and rose from the grave three days
later. What a glorious thought to know
that our Savior died on the cross and took
our place. We can still celebrate this even
after Easter. In fact, we should celebrate
this every day.
Before Jesus went to the cross, he
performed many signs and wonders. He
made statements to show that Him and
God are one. Jesus famously had seven "I
am" statements that equatted Himself
with God. In this devotional, we will focus
on the fifth one where Jesus says, "I am the
resurrection and the life."
John 11:25-27 says:
"25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection
and the life. The one who believes in me will
live, even though they die; 26 and whoever
lives by believing in me will never die. Do you
believe this?”
27 “Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you
are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to
come into the world.”
In this story, Mary and Martha are
mourning the loss of their brother Lazarus.
When Martha heard that Jesus was
coming, she went out to meet Him, but
Mary stayed home (11:20). Lazarus had
been dead for four days. This however was
no surprise to Jesus as He said it was for
God's glory (11:4).
When Martha spoke with Jesus, she
showed incredible and admirable faith in
Jesus. She claimed that she believed Jesus
could have helped Lazarus (11:21) and
that Jesus would raise Lazarus in the last
days (11:24). Martha had faith in Jesus,
but let time become an obstacle.
Jesus made a statement that proved once
again that Him and God are equal. He said,
"Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and
the life. The one who believes in me will live,
even though they die; 26 and whoever lives
by believing in me will never die. Do you
believe this?”
Maybe today Jesus is asking you that same
question. Do you believe He is the
resurrection? Jesus showed that
knowledge of eternal life is a personal
relationship with Him. Today, you can
have that personal relationship with Him.
Martha shows us how we can respond to
that question in verse 27, “Yes, Lord,” she
replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah,
the Son of God, who is to come into the
world.”

FINANCIAL
UPDATES
Like many nonprofits, we were skeptical of how the
unfortunate events of 2020 were going to impact our
annual budget and donations. However, God was faithful
in His plan for us and gave us our greatest financial year
yet.
This year is going to be a rebuilding year for Know
Ministries. We were not able to provide the number of
Bibles we prepared for last year. Therefore, we are using
all the Bibles and materials purchased from last year to
provide to children this year.
We declared 2021 to be our Strong Comeback year. While
we are not even 6 months into this year, we are already
seeing this goal come true. God has provided many
unexpected donations this year and has helped us keep
costs low.
New donors and volunteers are joining in our efforts to
make a difference in the inner cities. We are grateful for
this impact and do not take it lightly.
We believe it is our responsiblity to update donors on how
their giving is impacting our mission. Therefore, we
created a new donor plan that provides special updates
on how a donation is being used.

INTERN
A reflection on this past semester
Hello! I’ve been working on finishing up the last few hours of my internship here recently and
that’s been a fun time! Over the course of this internship, I have gotten to experience a lot of
things that I do not think I would have had the chance to be part of. Getting to plan and
participate in a Give-a-Bible party, join a board meeting for a nonprofit organization, get to
deliver Bibles to a ministry partner, practice networking, have meetings with various churches
and other nonprofit partner organizations. I don’t think I would have had anywhere near the
opportunities to be part of these things without doing this internship for Know Ministries. Yes,
it has required me to be flexible but that is what life requires, so what better way to put that
into practice with an internship that will not only require flexibility but that will be
understanding of my schedule as well, 10 out of 10 would recommend doing this internship if
you get the chance. Honestly, even if you can’t do the internship I would 100 percent
recommend trying to find a way to get involved with this amazing ministry opportunity, it is
beyond worth it to join them. If I could share just one thing that I learned from this internship
it would be that anybody can give money, but not everybody will give their time. So I would like
to implore you wonderful readers today to take a little time out of your schedule to help this
awesome organization in its mission to share Christ with the children of this world. Some
people write puff pieces that seem like advertisements for organizations but I can assure you
that this is no puff piece, this comes from someone who has been behind the scenes, helping to
put the fluff in the toy if you will, something that kids will love to learn about. The Love and
Word of God are powerful and can absolutely make a difference in a child’s life, it makes it
worth being a part of the mission that Know Ministries holds dear.

This is a
new
opportunity
We knew we could not wait any longer. We
were ready to be in the inner cities and
sharing the love of Jesus with the children
God called us to reach. We love connecting
with children and we love spending time with
them as they are very happy and content.
Inner city ministry is a unique kind of ministry.
Ministering in the inner cities looks different
for all communities, but one thing remains the
same: people are content. The people that live
in the inner cities are content with their life.
They understand that there is more to life than
material possessions In fact, they realize that
Jesus is all they need.

We missed these realizations.

We knew going into 2021 that we could not
wait any longer. We knew it was our time to
return to the inner cities and do so in a
faithful manner. The inner cities is our passion
and we have had the opportunity to learn
from so many leaders, churches, families, and
children. Therefore, we made it our mission to
get back to what we know best.
Dallas
In 2020, we provided Bibles in Dallas Texas, but
never got the chance to visit our ministry partner,
Dallas Metro Ministries. We believe in the
encouraging work that Dallas Metro Ministries is
doing and we knew we had to make it our priority
to visit them. That opportunity finally came in
March 2021.
As the clear skies and comfortable temperatures
brought spring into the air, we couldn't thank God
enough for this opportunity.
During the first weekend of March, we spent time
with Dallas Metro Ministries and helped minister to
children in apartment complexes. We had the
opportunity to offer children and famiily new
clothes for the upcoming Easter and spring
season. We enjoyed seeing each family we met
because of how thankful they were to receive
new clothing items. They were also thankful for
the food and drinks we helped provided. We love
seeing the joy on their faces as it reminds us of
how God can work in wonderful ways. God loves
each of His children. We were reminded of of that
truth through seeing how well the community
came together to support those in need.
We also spent time with the ministry leaders. We
wanted to encourage them and affirm the work
they are doing to share the love of Jesus with
children and families in Dallas. This weekend was
an incredible weekend to see God's glory shine on
the big city.

volunteer program
designed to give you
different options on how
to volunteer with us in
the inner cities.
We all have different gifts that enable us to
share the love of Jesus with children in the
inner cities. Therefore, we created a
volunteer option that is inclusive to all who
want to help. You can help by writing letters,
fundraising, discipling, distributing Bibles,
raising awareness, or praying.

Providing Bibles to
children in the inner
cities is something
everyone can do. We
have found a way to
make it easy for
everyone.
Through purchasing a "I Provide Bibles"
bracelet, you are doing exactly what the
bracelet said. One bracelet only costs $3
and helps provide one Bible to a child in the
inner cities.
Donate
Every child in the inner
cities deserves a Bible.
We believe in the power
of God's Word to change
the lives of those who
choose to read it.
We want every child to have a Bible, but it
takes people like you who are willing to
support our work. It only takes $2 to
provide a Bible and $5 to provide all the
materials we give to children.

me to see the care and love that goes into everything
they do With that, a goal of theirs is to effectively love
children, but what I have the utmost respect for is the

ultimate purpose to share the gospel, that’s what I like
about Know Ministries. They truly want to take the good
news to the inner cities whether that be through passing
