ARTS AND RECREATION SPRING ILLUMINATION As the story goes… Jake got lost in the backyard of City Hall in Carson Park and close to 700 residents went looking for him. They checked the Art Gallery, The Toy Shop, the Barn and even the Flower Shop. Only to find Jake had run home. Along the path residents enjoyed reading the story and admiring the over 20,000 lights that lit up the park. A short dog tale ending nicely. PG. 18 GV NEWSLETTER | MAY 2021
ARTS AND RECREATION YOUTH SPORTS PEE WEE FUN IN THE SUN Program designed for 4-5- year-olds to enjoy crafts and recreation activities at Silo Park. Join us for one or all three classes. Day: Mondays Time: 4 – 5 p.m. Dates: July 12 – Legos July 19 – Nerf Chaos July 26 – Crafts and Bracelets Location: Silo Park, 9300 East Orchard Avenue Fee: $20 per session Limit: 20 children Dates may change due to Public Health Orders. BOYS AND GIRLS YOUTH T-BALL Program is designed to teach baseball skills using imaginative games, fun experiences and zany activities. Throwing, catching, hitting. Base running and fitness activities will be introduced. Day: Mondays Time: 4 – 4:45 p.m. Dates: June 7 – June 28 Ages: 4-5 years old Location: Silo Park, 9300 East Orchard Avenue Fee: $40 per session Limit: 10 children Register at www.greenwoodvillage.com/recreation RECREATION REIMBURSEMENT TIDBIT Did you know that Recreation Reimbursement requests can be submitted year-round? If you have signed your children up for Greenwood Village summer activities or paid for youth sports in 2021, submit your reimbursement form and put some summer fun dollars back in your pocket. Reimbursable entities include Parks and Recreation Districts, Metropolitan Districts (offering recreation activities), municipal golf courses, City of Greenwood Village art and recreation programs and nonprofit youth sports agencies. All agencies must be located in the Denver metro area. Receipts must include the name of the organization, the activity and the date paid.
