EARLY SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP BEGINS AGAIN!
For the months of June, July and August we will offer a second Sunday service at
our Downtown Campus from 8-9 a.m. This worship time will be traditional in style,
and must be earlier than the previous 8:20 service to allow maximum time for sanitizing
the sanctuary, restrooms and other gathering areas before the 11:15 worship
time in that same space. We will evaluate continuing this service beyond August as
the summer draws to a close. So that this new worship experience can be everything
the Holy Spirit wants it to be, we need some leadership help: persons to run
multimedia, persons willing to be contact tracers (until Covid restrictions are lifted),
greeters, ushers, and welcome center volunteers. If you are willing to help, you can
let us know on the “I am willing to serve” portion of the bulletin connection card, or
by calling the church office. Thanks so much!
MAY IS MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH
NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Awareness) Butler County continues its message
“You Are Not Alone.” 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. experience mental illness each year,
and 1 in 20 adults in the U.S. experience serious mental illness each year. With Butler
County’s population nearing 190,000, that means an estimated 38,000 of our family,
friends and neighbors have had a mental health condition this past year and 7,600
suffer from severe mental illness. See this guide for partners of NAMI with a goal
of spreading awareness, reducing stigma and helping families know they are not
