City of Cornelius Resolution No.2012-15 Job Descriptions RESOLUTION NO. 2012-15 CORNELIUS, OREGON A RESOLUTION OF THE CORNELIUS CITY COUNCIL UPDATING AND CREATING JOB DESCRIPTIONS FOR THE CITY OF CORNELIUS AND ESTABLISHING JOB CLASSIFICATIONS FINDINGS: The recent restructuring of Development and Operations allowed for the division of duties and promotion of managers to Department Heads. New job descriptions were created for the Community Development Director and Public Works Director positions. The restructuring of the departments impacted all the job descriptions within Community Development and Public Works; the job descriptions list the wrong department and supervisor. As a housekeeping measure, Human Resources will make the modifications necessary to any effected job description, without bring each forward to the City Council. The City of Cornelius requires job descriptions that identify the duties and responsibilities; setting minimum standards to be met by city employees. The new job descriptions required a change in the classification range, Community Development Director and Public Works Director are classified S14 in the City of Cornelius salary schedule. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council adopts the job descriptions as presented in Exhibit A and authorizes Human Resources to modify job descriptions impacted by the reorganization of Development and Operations. Section 2. The changes approved by this resolution become effective July 1, 2012. PRESENTED AND PASSED this 16 th day of July 2012.
