Vicki’s flower art are one-of-a-kind vintage
goods that the women themselves have
thrifted in both Door County and beyond.
This is an expression of their own personal
design, marrying vintage with both artisan
and Mid-Century Modern pieces to create
an eclectic look that feels complete.
It’s a slow process to find the perfect
thrifted piece if you’ve got something
particular in mind, so Vicki and Brooke do
the legwork to bring those curated items to
the storefront. They turn what could seem
like a patchwork assortment of clutter into
cohesive layers of decor. Both women have
talent in interior design and offer advice on
styling a room.
“There are some things you need to spend
money on,” Vicki recommends. “Have a
good sofa, have a good rug.” She suggests
sourcing a few quality pieces that have
longevity and that you can work the rest of
your design off of. Take that dream
Moroccan rug and pick a color from it,
incorporate pillows or a paint color based
off that; then top your thrifted end table
with a lamp from a big box store for
affordability.
Brooke loves to mix up textiles: “Take your
old pillows off your couch and buy two that
you are in love with, and things will spiral
off that.” Pillows and other textiles like their
sought-after poufs are an easy seasonal
switch to keep your living room feeling
fresh and updated.

shoppers from all over the country. Working
off of dimensions, photos, and budget, they
can help design an African basket wall or a
textile makeover from Door County and make
decor recommendations to help achieve their
clients’ style.
