"We also try to partner with a lot of pet foster and pet adoption agencies and we bring those
groups out for adoption events and we try to really promote the fundraising. Every
November we work with the community to organize a Thanksgiving run and all of the
proceeds go to local organizations," said Jennifer.
If everything goes as planned, a neighboring Door County city will have an exciting new
addition to their community. Peter and Jennifer will be opening another location in Sturgeon
Bay. They will be breaking ground this September with plans to open next May. This space
will be called the Sturgeon Bay Terrace and will be more focused on events with a band stage
and an outdoor theater for kids. There will also be a roof-top bar with a food tenant. They
will serve wine and all Door County beers to help support other local breweries as well.
"I could see maybe weddings, or rehearsal dinners, people renting it out for birthdays but
then there's enough space to be open to the public and have that separation," said Jennifer.
"We found that we really love what we're doing. It has been so fun. I still make my bartender
put me on the schedule at least once a week to bartend just so I can talk with people and
learn from them, what they're enjoying and where can we do better and just do our best so
they have the best experience."
Jennifer adds that nothing would be possible without their incredible staff and they feel so
grateful to serve the Door County community and its visitors.
"We have been so lucky we have the best staff and we just have the best people working for
us. We're able to take a step back and really let them focus on managing. We truly couldn't do
it without them," explained Jennifer. "This was Peter's dream and it has really turned into my
dream come true as well."
