PAINTING AND PIZZA!<br />
Scurry over to the Downtown<br />
Campus for “Painting <strong>and</strong> Pizza<br />
with Miss Sue Burtner”: Saturday<br />
October 16, 5-7:30 p.m. in the children’s<br />
area on the third floor. Ages<br />
5 - second grade will be creating<br />
their version of “Mouse Munch” on<br />
canvas. Grade 3 <strong>and</strong> up will paint<br />
on canvas their version of “Pumpkins<br />
on Parade”. Please wear old clothes <strong>and</strong> restrain long hair since acrylic paint is<br />
messy <strong>and</strong> permanent. Pizza <strong>and</strong> drinks will be provided. REGISTRATION IS RE-<br />
QUIRED BY Monday, October 11 to sasa@butlerfumc.com. Please include child(s)<br />
full name <strong>and</strong> age/grade.<br />
ROOTS BEGINS SEPTEMBER 26<br />
3rd - 6th graders are invited to Roots on Sunday, <strong>September</strong> 26 from 5:30 - 7 p.m.<br />
at the Rt. 8 Campus. Roots will meet monthly on the third Sunday.<br />
FUSION WILL MEET ON 2ND SUNDAYS<br />
Fusion Youth, grades 7 - 12, will meet at the Rt. 8 Campus from 6:30 - 8 p.m. on the<br />
second Sundays of the month (10/10, 11/14, 12/12). The Yeck Farms trip will be held<br />
on October 3, same scheduled time.<br />
CALLED TO SERVE?<br />
Are you interested in serving those in need from our church? In an effort to build a<br />
church “Serve Team”, we are seeking those who would be willing to participate in<br />
various (but not necessarily every single) indoor <strong>and</strong> outdoor service projects for<br />
church members who have requested a need for help. These are minor work projects<br />
<strong>and</strong> not dem<strong>and</strong>ing of expert skills, so all are encouraged to consider joining!<br />

WINTER COAT COLLECTION<br />
We are collecting winter coats for the Bundle Up Butler program. Please place new or<br />
gently used coats in the collection areas (near the welcome centers) at our Downtown<br />
<strong>and</strong> Route 8 campuses. Last day to donate will be Tuesday, <strong>September</strong> 28.<br />
DID YOU KNOW?<br />
Broad street Elementary school is looking for helpers in the<br />
following areas: lunch monitor (paid), crossing guard (paid),<br />
lunch mentors (volunteer). Clearances will need to be provided<br />
for all three positions. Please call (724) 287-3108 if you<br />
are interested in serving the school in this way.<br />
