Wrap around care
Our Morning and After School Care is in place to help parents
who need to bring their children to school early and who
cannot collect them at the end of the afternoon lessons.
Our dedicated, qualified supervision staff ensure the children have the best possible
experience and enjoy the various activities and games on offer.
Timings: Morning Care is available from 8am and Afternoon Care runs up until 6pm.
either to enhance and extend their personal
passions and interests or to experience a
new opportunity. From the Summer Term in
Reception onwards, every child is encouraged
to participate in at least one club per week.
Our Music Programme
What We Offer Our Parents
We encourage all children to develop a love of music, whatever level of experience
they may currently have.
Within our classroom music, children will be
able to play a variety of instruments including
percussion, keyboard, recorder, guitar and
clarinet. There are termly informal classroom
concerts so that pupils have the opportunity
to perform in front of their peers.
Each term there are music performance
assemblies to which parents are invited.
Evening concerts for children in the Upper
School include the Autumn Concert and
Spring Soirée. To celebrate Christmas,
we have a Reception Nativity Play, a Year 1
Carol Concert, a Year 2 Production and
an Upper School Christmas Concert
which takes place at St. Paul’s Church,
Hammersmith. Our school year ends
with our annual Prize Evening for Upper
School Children, also at St. Paul’s Church,
with our choirs and orchestras all involved
in a wonderful showcase of music at RPPS.
In recent years, we have offered
workshops for parents on:
ISI Summary
The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) visited Ravenscourt Park
Preparatory School in November 2021.
After their visit in November 2021, the
Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI)
has judged Ravenscourt Park Preparatory
School as ‘excellent’ in both of the key
outcomes - the pupils’ academic and other
achievements, and the quality of the pupils’
personal development.
The inspection report acknowledges the
strengths of the Learning Culture at RPPS:
high expectations, challenge, questioning,
dialogue, feedback and growth mindset are
embedded in all areas of school life.
The effectiveness of teaching and learning
is highlighted, and the inspectors note that
pupils’ “levels of attainment significantly
rise as they move through the school”.
Our school values of co-operation, kindness,
creativity, commitment, appreciation,
curiosity, and community responsibility are
instilled successfully and positively impact
children’s outcomes.
The full inspection report can be viewed
Admissions &
Entrance Procedure
Stage 1.
Visit us!
Please book a place on one
of our Open Mornings via our
website: www.rpps.co.uk/
admissions/open-mornings
Stage 2.
Register online
www.rpps.co.uk/register
Registration for a Reception
place is strongly recommended
on or before a child’s first
birthday although later
registrations are still welcome.
These can be completed
by submitting the online
Registration Form.
A non-refundable fee is required
to secure pupil registration
however, this does not guarantee
that a place will be offered.
Parents will receive a letter
from the Registrars
acknowledging this.
Please note parents are able to
register online prior to attending
an Open Morning.
Stage 3.
Children registered on or
before their first birthdays
are entered into a ballot
Siblings of current pupils are
given priority. If places still
remain after all siblings and
children registered by their
first birthday have been
offered, then the ballot system
continues to operate based on
proximity of registration to the
child’s first birthday.
Stage 4.
Admissions morning
Following the ballot consisting
of children registered on their
first birthdays, successful
registrations will be invited
to an Admissions Morning.
This usually takes place 15
months before the Reception
year commences. However,
depending on the length of
the waiting list, it is not always
possible to invite all families
in for an interview.
Stage 5.
Offer letter
On receipt of an offer letter
parents have 7 days in which
to accept a place. At this stage
a deposit of £3000, a signed
acceptance form and proof
of identification are required.
Half of one term’s fees (at the
new academic year fee cost)
will be payable in advance on
the first day of the preceding
Summer Term. Both the deposit
and half of one term’s fee are
non-refundable on withdrawal
of an accepted place before
attendance at the school. The
deposit will be returned to
parents once the child leaves
Year 6, subject to all outstanding
fees being settled.
Stage 6.
Confirmation
Once a place has been
confirmed and accepted,
all relevant joining
information will be sent.
