Welcome to the <strong>Oct</strong>ober <strong>2021</strong> edition of The<br />
<strong>Barlborough</strong>,Clowne & Renishaw Doorsteppa.<br />
Our community was shaken recently with news of<br />
an unthinkable crime committed in Killamarsh. We<br />
cannot imagine what the victims families & friends<br />
are going through. St Giles Church, voluntary<br />
groups, well wishers, and local people of all ages<br />
came together as a community to offer support<br />
and raise funds. We have no doubts that will<br />
continue during this difficult time, and everyone at<br />
Doorsteppa sends our thoughts and prayers to all<br />
those effected by this senseless tragedy.<br />
In this month’s issue we have several events taking<br />
place locally. You can see details of what’s<br />
happening on pages 7, 17 and 41 for more<br />
information.<br />
As restrictions on foreign travel slowly ease we are<br />
pleasedthat our local ‘Travel Counsellor’ Lisa Byers<br />
is back with news of aholiday the family will never<br />
forget. Seeour Travel Section on page 15 for all the<br />
details on aLapland 2022 Special!<br />
Halloween is looming and recent studies have<br />
shown thatover 30% of people in theUKbelieve in<br />
ghosts. Jess Miller dives into the reasons why on<br />
page37.<br />
