Feel Good Friday
Wigan & Leigh Carers Centre has set up a new initiative
launched specifically for carers.
One Friday every month, Wigan and Leigh Carers Centre
in Hindley will be hosting their feel-good Friday sessions,
working to boost the health and wellbeing of unpaid
carers.
Feel-good Friday is a concept which fuses many things;
each month the group will be offering a mixture of selfcare
and wellness activities such as relaxation therapies,
mindfulness, exercise and healthy lifestyle practices that
will give a much-needed boost to young and adult carers
across the borough.
The next session will take place on Friday, November 5
at the centre on Frederick Street in Hindley. For more

Bump & Buggy Walks
Calling all new parents, grandparents and furry friends –
Be Well from Wigan Council would like to invite you to
join them for their weekly bump and buggy walks.
The walk is free and is ideal for soon to be parents and
anyone with children. It’s a great way to get out into the
fresh air, meet people and stay active.
The group meets every Friday between 10.30-11.30am
at Haigh Woodland Park, outside the golf shop, or every
Tuesday between 10-11am at the Three Sisters Recreation
Area near Ashton, meeting at the Hamlet café.
Everyone is welcome, and you could even stay for a drink

Bookcycle Fair
The Bookcycle Christmas Fayre returns this year on
Saturday 4th December and runs between 12-4pm.
There are a variety of stalls to shop at, refreshments will
be available and there will be other activities happening
on the day.
Bookcycle is based at the former library on Orrell Road in
