As a country we have failed to protect human rights during the last few decades and to implement mechanisms to
monitor and prevent human rights violations by all the parties to the current conflict and also in general. Many an
investigation have not produced tangible outcomes in order to find those who commit, support and scheme human rights
violations in the country. This situation warrants a strong campaign for active human rights monitoring and intervention to
prevent human rights violations by an external agency such as the United Nations.
