because <strong>of</strong> the failure in the criminal justice system in Sri Lanka. There can be no improvement in the current situation in<br />
Sri Lanka, without a functioning criminal justice system. When the world <strong>of</strong>fer help the honesty to serve the people is<br />
proved by accepting it. All Sri Lankans deserve good governance, and a good criminal justice system is one <strong>of</strong> the<br />
foundation stones for it. The monitoring mission is the cement by which this foundation could be fixed and later a better<br />
Sri Lanka could be built upon it.<br />
