THE CHAIRBOYs NEWS FROM WYCOMBE WANDERERS TRUST Thanks to all our members as we exit renewals season, and fast approach our Annual General Meeting. I’m excited to share some more details of the AGM including the profiles of those standing to be Trust Directors. You will be able to join us in person at Adams Park, and by Zoom for those who this suits better. Date: Thursday, 18th November 2021 Time: Meeting commences 7pm, but please arrive earlier (see below) Location: In person the Caledonian Suite, Adams Park from 6:30pm Virtually: To pre-registered members via Zoom from 6:45pm We would really appreciate our members’ participation in this year’s Trust AGM; in the past two years we have seen highs and lows (but mainly highs) on the pitch, and we have seen the role of the Trust transform from running the club, to helping to represent the voice of the fans and supporting our valuable 25% share of the club and ownership of Adams Park. Hearing directly from fans week in week out at matches and at the AGM really helps us represent our members more effectively. In accordance with the Trust’s Rules, one third of the current Trust Board is required to retire. Nigel Kingston, Peter Lerner, Bob Massie, and Trevor Stroud are therefore retiring from the Board. All four are offering themselves for re-election and Jon Workman is seeking election for the first time. To see the candidate election addresses you can visit the Trust website. Voting in the Board Election Each fully paid up member has four votes in the election of Board Directors, you can vote in three different ways: 1. In person at the AGM - details will be shared on the night 2. Via Zoom at the AGM - an email will be sent at least 7 days before the AGM allowing you to pre-register. Each registered member will be able to vote, so if you live in a household with more than one member you will each need to register and join the Zoom meeting. 3. By email in advance. You can vote by emailing secretary@ wycombewandererstrust.com subject line “Directors VOTE”. Your email must be received by midday on November 18th, 2021 and those emailing a vote in advance will not be able to vote again at the AGM. We look forward to seeing you in the Caledonian Suite, or on Zoom! Join the Trust! Wycombe Wanderers Trust retains 25% ownership of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club and is the sole owner of Adams Park. We continue to provide 2 of the 5 Board Directors at the club, and have a good working relationship with all key members of staff at Adams Park. Having sold a controlling stake of the club in 2021, our most important role is now to represent the views of supporters and ensure that fans will continue to have a say in the way the Club is run. That is why we are urging everyone to join, and encourage friends and family to join too. We’ve made a few changes to the Trust membership scheme this year, which improves benefits for members and will we hope, attract more younger members to the Trust. Prices have been frozen, or in some cases reduced, and as ever you can pay monthly or annually, to help ‘support the quarter’. Thank you for your continued support for the Trust… and the Blues!
