He helped to establish a Resident Composer program,
which has included such young composers as John
Adams, David del Tredici, and Tison Street. It remains
a vital part of the Marlboro experience, and recent years
have seen visits from György Kurtág, John Harbison,
George Benjamin, and Thomas Adès, among others.
