WOMEN’S MINISTRY JANUARY MEETING
Women’s Ministry will meet on Saturday, January 8, at 9:30 am, Rt. 8 Campus. This
month’s gathering will be spent filling stockings with personal hygiene items for

ALTAR FLOWERS AT THE DOWNTOWN CAMPUS
Placing altar flowers on the altar of the Downtown Campus is a wonderful way
to remember or honor a loved one. If this is something you might be interested
in doing, contact Carole Goldinger at cgoldinger@butlerfumc.com for more
information.
DESSERTS NEEDED FOR COMMUNITY MEAL
Every Friday afternoon at 5 pm, First Church serves our neighborhood with a
community meal. There is a need for desserts to go along with the meals. We can
accept donations of cookies, cakes, and pies. All donations can be dropped off
at the church office during the week and before 3 pm on Fridays. Thank you in
advance for #lovingyourneighbor.
LET THE LITTLE CHILDREN COME TO ME
The First Church children are in need of fun people with a heart for Jesus to serve
once or twice a month. No experience is necessary, curriculum, mentoring and

Please remember the following safety protocols while we continue through
Covid: 1. Social distance from others. 2. Greet others with a elbow bump or a fist
pump. 3. Masks are encouraged for both vaccinated and unvaccinated.
PRAYER FOR BLESSING IN THE NEW YEAR
Father, Thank you for your great love and blessing over our lives. Thank you that
your favor has no end, but it lasts for our entire lifetime. Forgive us for sometimes
forgetting that you are intimately acquainted with all of our ways, that you
know what concerns us, and you cover us as with a shield. We ask that we
would walk in your blessing and goodness today. That your face would shine
on us. That you would open the right doors for our lives and for our loved ones,
that you would close the wrong doors and protect us from those we need to
walk away from. Establish the work of our hands and bring to fulfillment all that
you have given us to do in these days. We pray that you would make our way
purposeful and our footsteps firm out of your goodness and love. Give us a
heart of wisdom to hear your voice, and make us strong by your huge favor
and grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
