The work of Eng. Javier Zumbado G. focuses
on maritime engineering and wave energy, an
example was his study entitled "Determination
of the theoretical potential of wave energy on
the north Pacific coast of Costa Rica". He
applied regionalization techniques for the
densification of maritime information and
subsequently calculated the power (MW) and
energy (GWh) present in this region.
He is currently part of the group of
researchers at IMARES and is expanding the
studies of wave energy for the other regions of
the Pacific coast of Costa Rica.
