XYZ Reality launches a transformational Augmented Reality headset - The Atom
Transformational is the new buzzword
to describe a big technological
advance or improvement, and has
been aptly used to describe XYZ Reality's
new AR headset for construction, The
Atom. XYZ Reality is the UK construction
technology start-up behind HoloSite, the
world's first Engineering-Grade Augmented
Reality Platform, which they have recently
followed with the worldwide commercial
launch of The Atom, the most accurate AR
headset for construction.
It is a landmark announcement for XYZ
Reality. It was encouraged by the success
of HoloSite to the market, and a successful
£20 million Series A funding round in June
to widen access to the augmented reality
technology globally, aiming to eliminate 2D
in its entirety and bring an industry in

workers around the world to build from
holograms and make a huge dent on the
77% of megaprojects that overrun globally.
Using AR construction workers can view
and position design models on site to
5mm accuracy and make real-time
decisions in the field. The ground-breaking
technology also significantly eliminates
errors out of tolerance and reduces the
time taken from set-out to build.
Now, on track for 300 percent growth in
2022, the launch places XYZ Reality on its
trajectory to significantly increase its global
market share and puts it well on track to
